I have the following college degrees:

    -Associates in General Education from Northwest Shoals Community College

    -Bachelors in Elementary Education from Athens State University

I have taken all courses to be classified as a Highly Qualified Teacher in accordance with the No Child Left Behind Program.

I have completed training in reading through ARI and for Science through AMSTI.

I have also participated in Samuel Training for teaching English Language Learners (ELL) 



Experience

I have taught fifth and sixth grades at Phil Campbell since I started teaching in 2000. I taught as a substitute for the Franklin County School System from 1999to Fall of 2000.   I have taught both departmentalized and self contained classrooms.    



Bio

My name is Lorie Dorroh.  I have been teaching 5th and 6th grade at Phil Campbell Elementary School for 17 years.  I have 3 children. My son Joey and his wife Kelly and two of my granddaughters currently serve in the United States Air Force in New Mexico.  My daughter Jenni, husband Ty Dollar and my 3rd granddaughter, Kennedy, live in Haleyville.  My son Jamie is currently attending college at Jacksonville State University as a Junior.   Joey, Kelly, Jenni, and Jamie  all graduated from Phil Campbell High. I attend Mountain View Baptist Church in Phil Campbell where I am actively involved with our Nursery program and choir. I enjoy sewing, yarn crafts, spending time with grandchildren and family.

I currently teach Science and Social Studies to 5th grade students at PCES.
